Palette s/s 2009

The inspiration for the spring/summer collection 2009 comes from the film ”The Science of Sleep” by Michel Gondry, where the main character has such a vivid imagination that he has difficulties separating dreams and reality.

The beautiful and somewhat naïve artwork of the film has been the main inspiration when creating the collection, where dreams and escapism stand in focus – things that are also considered being the very fundament of fashion.

The styles are simple with the use of geometrical shapes, in particular the circle, in cuts and construction. Basic materials are fabrics that imitates painters' canvas, for example a rough denim and silk noil. The polyester georgette in fruity pastels is another main part of the collection, combined with accents of golden voile and netting.

The abstract illustrations that are to be found as textile prints on dresses and tops are made in collaboration with artist Teres Karlsson.
